Bill ... what's playing on your iPod?

Bounce. Bounce.
Nothing's gonna bring me down.
Bounce. Bounce.
Stand up. Shout it out.

Bounce. Bounce.
I play hard. I play to win.
Count me out.
Count me in.
I'll be bouncing back again.

Bounce
Bon Jovi - Bounce

Everybody knows that Jon dedicated this song to Bill Belichick. Bet Coach was listening to it a lot this week.

I know many a fantasy football participant whose season went down in a Blaze of Glory with the injury to Tom Brady last Sunday. And now, believe it or not, the Jets, yes the New York J-E-T-S, are actually favored to win by several sports analysts.

Yea, so its been 3,217 days since Matt Cassel has started a football game ... and sure, he's going up against one of the greatest quarterbacks to play in recent years. But, don't count out the New England Patriots just yet. When you have receivers like Randy Moss you can just throw the damn ball into the air and he'll go get it - especially when you have a rookie corner trying to contain him. Still, you can expect play-calling will favor the run game more than if Brady were in ... but have you seen Maroney? The man can run (ok ... maybe not with the take-no-prisoners steamroller approach of the Giants Brandon Jacobs, but still ...) And, then there's Mike Vrabel, Richard Seymour, Tedy Bruschi ...

But the real reason to keep the faith ... Bill Belichick. Regardless of what you may think about the Spygate scandal or the fact that he has the public relations skills of a garden rock, the man will lead his team to rise above the situation and focus on the task at hand. It may not be this week but I have no doubt they will come out the other side stronger and better.

Bad news for the rest of the NFL.

PS Still to come later today, my picks for Week 2.
