Eight Years ...

Its been eight years since that day. The day that none of us will ever forget. The day that made us hurt so much but also taught us a great deal. It reminded us of the price that we pay for freedom. It reminded us of the sacrifice some make every day for the safety of others. It reminded us that we are all in "this" together.

For me, the start of the football season and the anniversary of the attacks will always be connected ... I have a feeling I'm not the only one who feels that way.
